Metro CompuTech College is a private college. It was established in 1992 and came into operation on the 4th of January 1993. Its head office is in Empangeni Rail, opposite the post office at Empangeni station, at 28 Tanner Road, Empangeni Rail. Metro CompuTech College now has 3 branches, in Empangeni, Eshowe and Jozini.
The mission of Metro as a college was and is still; to train people from all walks of life; not only youth, everybody who qualify; and are yearning to get somewhere in life, regardless of their career, irrespective of race, gender or creed.
Metro College is committed to empowering people by providing invaluable information technology solutions through computer training, software and hardware support, and system integration. To contribute to the ever-changing education demands of Southern Africa through learning programmes responsive to the needs of the students, the community and the region as a whole.
Metro CompuTech College’s vision is: To be recognised as a leading, world-class private higher education institution that is committed to quality, equity and excellence in the development and delivery of its programmes.
To become and exemplary in which learners achieve a maximum ability through a rigorous, engaging curriculum and systems of support that cultivate the potential and promote the wellbeing of every learner.
To provide educational training and developmental experiences in line with government skills development strategy ad to prepare learners for life-long learning in a democratic and global community.
